CityNews – The headmaster of Sahamitvittaya School in Kanlaya Niwattahna sub-district is asking for donations to keep the children warm this winter, with their school recording temperatures of just three to four degrees Celsius.
As a temporary solution, children are being told to stand in the sun for long periods in the day to keep warm.
Due to lack of funding and the poverty that many hill tribe families live in, most are unable to buy adequate clothing and blankets for the cold season.
The headmaster is asking for donations of warm clothes, blankets and instant food.
