CityNews – Qatar Airways has now reveled that direct flights between Chiang Mai and Doha will begin on December 16, 2016, with five flights a week via a technical stop in Yangon in Myanmar.
Currently Qatar fly direct from Doha to both Bangkok and Phuket.
On December 3, flights to Krabi will also be added to the list of destinations.
During 2017, Qatar will also open connecting flights to cities such as Marrakech, Pisa, Windhoek, Helsinki, Sarajevo, Seychelles, Auckland, Skopje, Libreville, Douala, Lusaka and Nice.
The Doha – Chiang Mai flight will be identified as QR918, departing Doha at 2.30am arriving at 2.55pm in Chaing Mai. The return flight departs Chiang Mai at 4.45pm and arrives at Doha at 10.15pm.
