CityNews – A pickup truck crashed into a 7-Eleven storefront at the PTT gas station on the Doi Intanon Intersection, destroying the store yesterday evening.
The driver was identified as a man in his mid-fifties.
He told Chom Thong police that he had parked his car and left the engine running, but put it into neutral. He believes he must have pushed the gearstick into drive while he was asleep, causing the truck to career into the storefront.
There was no reported injuries.
Damages are estimated at around 100,000 baht, which he says he is willing to pay.
Both parties are currently discussing how to cover all the damages.
