CityNews – A Burmese man who had escaped police custody has been arrested after police tracked him down yesterday evening, May 5.
The 26-year-old man is yet to be identified, but was found to be in possession of a fake Thai ID card with the name Nikorn Panthanawut.
He escaped police custody in April, after he was arrested for theft.
When he was removed from a cell to be processed, he punched the police officer on duty and escaped downtown.
However, yesterday evening police managed to track the man to an apartment in the Changpuek sub-district.
He is awaiting prosecution.
