CityNews – Rescue officers were informed of a car fire in Suan Nonsi village of Sansai’s Nong Chom sub-district during the evening of Friday, May 8th.
Officers found the car parked by the side of the road in an empty area of the village. The driver, that was later identified as a disabled man aged 30-40 years, was found unconscious and extracted from the vehicle in time to save his life. He was immediately taken to a local hospital and rescue officers controlled the car fire.
Officers discovered sleeping pills and a stove inside of the burned vehicle. According to witnesses, the man was seen parking his car at the scene, when smoke and sparks suddenly began to ignite inside the car.
The witnesses reported the incident to the Sansai police department. It is believed that the man tried to commit suicide, but his motivations are not yet clear.
The investigation is ongoing.
