Mae Oak Hu Reservoir

On April 27, the Sheriff of Mae Chaem, Tosapol Phuanudom, paid a visit to the reservoir along with the press to show how many people had started visiting the location in the last few weeks.

The reservoir was locally known as Paradise on Hill, as the water comes from a natural spring that flows throughout the year, with many fish and lots of fresh water to enjoy.

There are also small wooden huts that people can rent for 20 baht an hour and enjoy the shade, eat and drink. The money made from the huts goes to management of the reservoir and the local community.

To find the Mae Oak Hu Reservoir, drive up Road 108 towards Doi Inthanon National Park, turn left at Checkpoint 2, towards Mae Chaem. Then take a right turn onto Road 1088 until you see a sign for the reservoir.
