CityNews – A fire broke out in a sermon hall at the Kannitharam temple in Doi Saket just days before Asahna Bucha Day causing over 2 million baht worth of damage, but nobody was injured.
In the morning of July 18, a fire broke out in the sermon hall, causing the one monk in the building to escape. 68-year-old Phrakru Buddhithammaraksa escaped without injury when the fire began.
It took two fire engines over one hour to put out the flames which destroyed the building.
Police are now investigating the cause of the fire.
