CityNews – For a moment it looked like Thailand wasn’t going to get one of Hollywood’s arguably dumbest franchises, Fast and Furious 7, after Sahamongkol Film filed a lawsuit against actor Tony Jaa for allegedly breaking his contract. The court issued an injunction banning the film from Thai cinemas, and it looked like F&F 7 might suffer a temporary flat. But that didn’t last long.
On March 30th, Tony Jaa, along with Universal Pictures, and United International Pictures (UIP), filed their own complaint asking that the court lifts the ban. The result: On April 1st Fast and Furious will be showing all over Thailand. Phew…
