CityNews – The Chom Thong – Chiang Mai bus stop will be moving following efforts by the local traffic police to reduce congestion in the Chom Thong Area.
On October 20, the Traffic Police, bus drivers, the Chom Thong Municipality and private businesses owners met to discuss the traffic problems near Wat Phra That Sri Chom Thong temple.
The meeting concluded that the buses were causing lots of congestion so they would move the bus stop to a new location outside the Rien Thong shop next to the Chom Thong Police station. The new bus stop will be trialed from October 24 to November 1, and if successful will remain permanent.
