Chinese Tourist Robber Arrest Leads to Prostitution Concerns

CityNews – Two ladyboys were arrested after robbing a lost Chinese tourist who underpaid for their prostitution services.

Following on a report of a Chinese tourist who was robbed by a couple earlier this week, police were able to identify them as Bandit Siengklom, 33, and Tanyarat Chompubut, 31, both are reportedly transvestites. The victim who had gotten lost on Loi Kroh Road sought help from the suspects to take him back to his hotel, instead he was detoured to the area near Wat Sikong and robbed of over 16,000 baht.

Upon the arrest today, September 12th, police disclosed that during the ride the victim agreed to a prostitution service provided by the suspects. When the service was over, the victim reportedly paid them 200 baht which was not enough for the suspects so they decided to rob him.

This is not the first crime of these two suspects, according to police report, there have allegedly been other foreign victims who have been afraid to issue reports to the police.
