Alliance Francaise Mourns Paris Attacks

CityNews – On November 14, Commander of Chiang Mai Police, General Montree Sambunnanon, and French expats living in Chiang Mai attended a silent mourning at the Alliance Francaise, to mourn the death of the victims of the gun and bomb attacks in Paris, France.

Flowers were also laid on the ground in remembrance of those lost.

According to Police Major General Montree, police in the eight provinces in the north of Thailand, especially Chiang Mai, have been assigned to more strictly monitor their designated areas.

All consulates and other important tourist places in Chiang Mai as well as some residences have been put on special monitoring, with police patrolling 24 hours a day and the military have set up centres to take care of tourists and local residents.
