CityNews – Around 1,000 amateur cyclists from many clubs and societies in Chiang Mai flocked together and held a mass bike ride, starting at the Three Kings Monument, last Saturday at 6pm.

The event was organised to pay respects to the three cyclists killed in an accident earlier this month, where they were hit by a speeding drunk driver.

One cyclist has already been cremated.

Friends of those killed and club members on that same bike ride also attended the event.

People lit candles and held a minute silence to pay respect those affected.

All who attended then cycled around the moat to raise awareness of cyclists on Thai roads.
