Official Chiang Mai Songkran Festival 2017
12th – 16th April

Join in the traditional celebrations with pretty girls riding bicycles holding umbrellas, a Lanna ornament contest, a worship ceremony for Lord Buddha’s Relic, bathing rites for Phra Srimangalajan, the building of a sand pagoda, rite of Phra Buddha Sihing, Mister and Miss Songkran contest, Lanna traditional art contest, and much more. Most events will take place around the moat, and at Thapae Gate. Strict laws on alcohol are usually enforced along the moat.

Water Wars Chiang Mai 2017
12th – 15th April

Chang Music Connection invites you to join in their Water Wars Chiang Mai 2017 at Prasert Land. Haev fun with live concert of Buddha Bless on April 12th, Klear on April 13th, Stamp on April 14th and Scrubb on April 15th. Ticket are 100 baht and 300 baht for VIPs. From 5pm until late. Singha Songkran Chiang Mai Night Run 2017

A 10.5km run up and then another 10.5km run down Doi Suthep. From 8pm – 11pm.
Kad Farang Songkran Festival 2017

The kad Farang cute kid contest will be held on April 16. Competitors must me 6-10 years old. There is also a retro market, local food and drinks and over 30 shops open over the Songrkan period. There will also be a traditional water pouring ceremony.
Pool Party at Le Méridien
Join for the most talked about pool party in town with great beats by acclaimed DJ Groove and DJ Richie B, mixologist cocktails and incredible sunset by infinity pool. Songkran Festival at Tha Chang Café

Celebrate Songkran and get soaked with Tha Chang Café this year. 150 baht per person per night with a free waterproof bag for your phone. 1,800 baht per table for VIP zone along with four free waterproof bags, and 1,000 baht for reservation zone with four ticket and four free waterproof bags.
Songkran at Lokmolee Temple
13th – 15th April
Bangkok Airways invites everyone to enjoy a traditional Songkran at Lokmolee Temple (north side of the moat) from 6pm – 9pm every day of the festival. No water guns, just polite sprinkling and traditional fun. There will be Kad Mua (traditional Lanna foods) available throughout the day. All money raised from Kad Mua will go to the temple. This is one of the only places where people can enjoy a traditional Songkran in the city!

Songkran Festival at Holiday Inn
13th – 15th April
Head over to the Holiday Inn Chiang Mai and join the fun and festivities of Songkran festival from 1pm – 6pm every day of the New Year celebrations. Barbequed red pork with rice, egg noodle soup with red roast pork, papaya salad, sticky rice, roast chicken, northern sausage and many drinks and beverages available throughout the day. 11th Annual Chiang Mai Ultimate Frisbee Hat Tournament 2017

Thai-China Friendship Chiang Mai Half Marathon 2017
