“Mee grob”
The classic Thai dish from Comedara

Mee grob, or crispy noodles, is a classic Thai dish which used to be ubiquitous nationwide, but oddly has disappeared from many menus in recent decades. Lovers of mee grob can now find this delicious crispy noodle dish which is soaked in tamarind juice and palm sugar before being fried to a crisp.

Mee grob can often be served with sides such as bean sprouts, Chinese celery and many other types of local vegetables. At Comedara they even offer them in small gift boxes, perfect to take home for friends and family.

“Tasty Crispy Noodles” is the name of the brand, and there are ten distinctive flavours to choose from, including hang le curry, northern larb, sesame, mieng kam, dried chillies, khao soy, mulberry, orange, mango and pineapple. Each flavour plays on the traditional sweet and sour flavours expected when eating these noodles, but with a burst of special flavour on the side that will intrigue anyone’s taste buds.

They store for up to a month outside the fridge, with gift boxes going at just 100 baht a pop.
