CityBuzz Misfits

 |  March 1, 2018

We’ll be honest with you, we wanted to include these three places but they clearly don’t work as a theme so have them as they are – three random places we thought you should check out this month!

Sit n Sip

Sit n Sip is the newly re-designed restaurant found attached to the CM Night Bazaar Boutique Hotel. Although its own enterprise, the restaurant is open to hotel guests, locals and tourists who are free to walk in any time of the day and enjoy some great food, a fun cocktail or just a simple snack. Their menu is a fusion of modern Thai and Northern Thai dishes with a few spectacular western dishes on the side and the prices will pleasantly surprise you. Pop in for lunch and enjoy the shrimp pad Thai served with two giant freshwater shrimps, or snack on the famous d’oeuvres northern style with both nam prik noom and nam prik ong. For dinner this month, order the lamb shank served on a bed of mashed potatoes for just 550 baht and get a free glass of wine. There are also six other mains that have been partnered up with a free drink too and for all of March, you can enjoy a fresh coffee and cake for just 100 baht.

Alexa Hostel

Opening her doors just before the beginning of the year, Alexa Hostel is Nimman’s newest hostel and an exciting new brand to Chiang Mai. The style is modern and clean, not over cluttered with decoration but sleek and sophisticated. Their rooms range from bunk dorms and single storey dorms to private rooms. All rooms share toilets and showers, but every bunk is totally private, closed in with just a small entrance you can close with a curtain. There is free wifi and there are complimentary water stations on every floor where you can fill up your Yeti cup or water flask. The modern design is eye pleasing and their lobby area is bustling with life. Even if you are not a guest, feel free to sit down and enjoy a coffee in the co-working area, or grab a beer on the terrace outside, day or night, the hostel is buzzing with activity.
